Beginning since the year of 2020, IRCC is an Annual Competition starting off from Regional Level, up to National Level and eventually International Level, fully online and offering multiple different categories to cater to all types of students: primary or secondary, Malaysian or non-Malaysian.

Beginning since the year of 2020, IRCC is an Annual Competition starting off from Regional Level, up to National Level and eventually International Level, fully online and offering multiple different categories to cater to all types of students: primary or secondary, Malaysian or non-Malaysian.
All robotics and coding enthusiasts, teachers, students, and fellow friends from all over the world are invited to join us in this exquisite event.
Our aims and objectives are to:
(1) Innovation, Robotics & Coding Competition (IRCC) starts off from State Level (within Malaysia), which then advances into National Level, and eventually into International Level.
♦ with the exception of RBT Innovation Project, which consists of National Level only.
–> IRCC State Level is open to all Malaysian students within the specified age group.
–> IRCC International Level is open to all Non-Malaysian students around the globe within the specified age group.
(3) Each team shall comprise of Three (3) to Four (4) members, consisting of:
♦ Minimum of Two (2) to Maximum of Three (3) students
♦ One (1) mentor/ teacher
♦ Each participant can only partake in one category
(2) In IRCC 2021 (Malaysia), there is a total of 3 categories:
– Creative Coder Challenge
– Creative Builder Challenge
– RBT Innovation Project
which then further branches into 8 different games:
– Creative Coder Challenge with rero:micro/micro:bit (Primary/ Secondary)
– Creative Coder Challenge with Mindstorms EV3 (Primary/ Secondary)
– Creative Builder Challenge with Intelek Build:bit (Primary/ Secondary)
– RBT Innovation Project (Primary/ Secondary)

IRCC consists of multiple different challenges or sections, based on the categories participants are taking part:-
♦ Theory Test: online theory test involving objective and subjective questions.
♦ Creative Coder Challenge: programme a robot and solve the tasks presented by team’s judge.
♦ Creative Builder Challenge: construct a robot, then programme it to solve the tasks presented by team’s judge.
♦ RBT Innovation Project: invent and construct an innovation project based on the theme of “Gamify RBT Learning in the Classroom”. This category also involves poster, project report folio and making of a solution video on the project built.
Teams are ranked into four (4) different classes based on their Final Score. An award title is given to all teams as depicted in the chart (title is subjected the level of the competition).

Theory Test will be conducted online. Format includes Objective and Subjective questions.
All members have to take part in the Theory Test, individually.
Each team will only get one (1) login access, and subsequently, can only submit 1 answer at a time; even if all 3 members may have 3 different answers.
Only a single member (selected by mentor or teammates) is required to communicate with the team’s judge. This is to respect physical distancing among team members.
Participants are to invent a project that is able to Gamify RBT Learning in the Classroom, based on the learning objectives of RBT Year 5/ Form 2/ Form 3.
Judging and grading requires all teams to submit (1) A4 sized poster, (2) Project report folio, and (3) solution video of the project.
IRCC 2021 will be conducted ONLINE over the duration of the following dates:
Agenda: IRCC 2021, State Level
Date: 19th June 2021
Agenda: IRCC 2021, National Level
Date: 10th July – 10th September 2021
Agenda: IRCC 2021, International Level
Date: 13th November – 19th November 2021 (GMT+8)
1. Malaysian teams will start their IRCC journey from the State Level (with the exception of RBT Innovation Project, which consists of National Level only).
2. All participating teams are required to register online at intelek.edu.my/irccreg
3. Registration fee:
